ABOUT
Cameron is an associate of Torkin Manes LLP’s Business Law Group. He provides counsel on a wide range of corporate law matters, including mergers, acquisitions and dispositions of businesses. Cameron works closely with clients at each stage of the transaction, from collaborating with clients at the outset of negotiating the terms of a deal to advising clients on closing the transaction. He also advises clients on general commercial and business law matters related to the day-to-day activities of their business.
Additionally, Cameron is a member of Torkin Manes LLP’s Technology, Privacy and Data Management practice group. In that capacity, he counsels emerging and well-established companies on data protection and management, data privacy, and cyber-security issues. He provides counsel to clients on information technology legal issues and transactions by leveraging 4 years’ experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining Torkin Manes, he advised private and public clients of Canada’s top IT solutions providers on data center, security, networking, client hardware and software, and cloud solutions, as well as managed services. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional in Designing and Providing Microsoft Licensing Solutions to Large Organizations.
Cameron has published on emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and their legal ramifications, including the ethical considerations for businesses using AI and intellectual property challenges of developing machine learning based artificial intelligence software.
