ABOUT
Elsir received his JD/MBA degree from the University of British Columbia. Prior to law school he completed his associates degree learning Arabic as a second language. Afterwards he was offered a full scholarship to complete his Bachelor of Arts in Saudi Arabia. Since his time in Saudi Arabia, Elsir has worked with consulting firms responsible for facilitating investment between Saudi Arabia, Canada and the Caribbean.
During his time at Allard Law, Elsir headed a clinic for the Law Student’s Legal Advice Program and volunteered as part of the Legal Education Outreach program. He also worked as a researcher under Carol Liao focusing on matters of international corporate governance, and social impact.
During his MBA, Elsir pursued a finance specialization and participated in financial competitions such as the Yale Global Network for Advanced Management Investment Competition, the National MBA games strategy competition and the Van Berkom JMSB Small-Cap Case Competition.
Elsir is also an active member of the Black Law Student’s Association of Canada and is currently the Chapter Representative on the National Executive team.
