ABOUT
Frantz Jacques is a corporate attorney whose practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, fintech, corporate governance, and securities law. Mr. Jacques advises clients throughout the business lifecycle, from formation and capital raising to acquisitions, divestitures, and other exit strategies. He leverages emerging technology to complement his legal expertise, helping clients anticipate change, navigate complex regulatory and business environments, and make informed decisions with confidence.
Mr. Jacques chairs the Committee on FinTech Regulation & Enforcement and co-chairs the Committee on DEIA in Business and Finance within the DC Bar’s Corporation, Finance and Securities Law (CFSL) Community. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he teaches fintech and the intersection of law, technology, and market forces shaping business transactions.
Mr. Jacques holds an LL.M. in Securities and Financial Regulation from the Georgetown University Law Center, a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, and a B.A. from Morehouse College. While at Georgetown Law, he served as Articles Editor of the Journal of International Economic Law, as a board member of the Securities and Financial Law Organization, and as a teaching assistant in the SEC University Office of Graduate Programs. He also coordinated a consortium of Georgetown’s Trade Law Clinic and members of the Trade Policy Training Center in Africa (TRAPCA), which provided technical assistance to the African Union in drafting and negotiating the dispute settlement chapter of the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement.
Beyond his legal practice and teaching, Mr. Jacques serves on the boards of Financial Services Professionals and Patrick’s Kids Foundation, and as Chairman of Haiti Projects.
