ABOUT
Gail Weinstein, as lead legal counsel on many of the seminal contested and negotiated transactions during the advent of M&A, has been at the forefront of market-shaping transactions. With over 25 years of M&A-related experience, Ms. Weinstein, who was a partner in the Corporate Department for almost two decades, has returned to the firm after having taken a leave from practicing law for several years. She is again providing a leading role in counseling many of the world’s leading companies, private equity firms, and investment banks on their most critical challenges in corporate strategy, defense preparedness, shareholder activism and corporate governance.
In addition to her decades of practical experience, Ms. Weinstein is a well-known thought leader in the industry. She serves as one of the primary authors of Takeover Defense, Mergers and Acquisitions (Wolters Kluwer/Aspen 7th edition), a treatise widely recognized as the definitive legal resource for this area. She is also a leading author of numerous articles and white papers on M&A-related subjects, providing insight for clients, peers, business and legal media, and the broader legal community.
