Gary Friedman is Chair of Weil’s Employment Litigation Practice Group. He is a first-chair trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience, and a nationally recognized expert on labor and employment law issues.
Mr. Friedman represents management in all facets of employment and labor law, and in the litigation, investigations, counseling, and transactional contexts. He has particular expertise defending employers in discrimination and wage/hour class and collective actions, representing companies in suits involving C-suite or other senior executives, and prosecuting or defending restrictive covenant and trade secrets cases. Mr. Friedman also has extensive experience advising clients and their boards concerning internal investigations pertaining to claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing and other improper workplace conduct. He represents clients in virtually all business sectors, including financial services, technology, healthcare, media, consumer products and retail, insurance, defense contracting, aviation and heavy industry.
Mr. Friedman is a frequent author, lecturer, and moderator on employment-related topics, and has been quoted in national publications – including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The National Law Journal, Bloomberg, Crain’s, and MarketWatch – for his labor and employment expertise.
