Partner of the corporate restructuring and insolvency practice area since 2011. Has had extensive experience representing creditors, creditors’ committees’; debtors, boards and managers, investors, and other parties in interest in corporate restructuring matters, in and out-of-court reorganizations and restructuring proceedings, bankruptcy liquidation proceedings, distressed investments and claims and general civil and commercial litigation over the past 20 (twenty) years.
Author of articles and book chapters on the New Brazilian Bankruptcy Law published in Brazil and abroad. Has participated in several public and in-company lectures, debates and presentations related to topics on the area in Brazil and abroad.
Has been lauded and recognized as a leading Bankruptcy and Reorganization lawyer by Chambers & Partners (Band 1), Who’s Who Legal and Legal 500.
Was a member of the Joint Ministerial Committee that provided for the final drafting of the Brazilian Bankruptcy Law enacted in 2005.
Founding member of TMA Brasil – Brazilian Turnaround Management Association and currently a member of the American College of Bankruptcy; International Insolvency Institute; INSOL – International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals and ABI – American Bankruptcy Institute, among other institutes.
