Humayun Khalid’s practice at Cleary Gottlieb focuses on insolvency, restructuring, and bankruptcy matters. Humayun represents investors, creditors, swap counterparties, debtors and other strategic parties in a range of corporate restructurings, financing transactions, bankruptcy litigation, asset sales and advisory matters. He frequently advises clients on creditors’ rights, debt instruments, prepackaged bankruptcies, loan-to-own strategies, debtor-in-possession financing, exit financing, Chapter 11 rights offerings, forbearance arrangements, safe-harbored derivatives and other matters.
Humayun joined the firm in 2007. From 2001 to 2003, he worked as a business analyst at Sankaty Advisors, a Bain Capital-affiliated debt investment firm in Boston. He is resident in Cleary Gottlieb’s New York office.
