Jody Westby is founder and CEO of Global Cyber Risk LLC, a Washington, DC-based advisory services firm noted for its expertise in cyber governance, cybersecurity risk management, and privacy compliance. Ms. Westby spent a decade in the IT industry before becoming an attorney and founding GCR. She is author of the 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2015 Governance of Cybersecurity reports published by Carnegie Mellon CyLab and Georgia Tech and sponsored by Forbes.
Ms. Westby was lead author of the Governing for Enterprise Security Implementation Guide developed for D&Os by Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute. Her work on cyber governance has been featured by the CISO Executive Network, Bloomberg BNA, and other major media. She is a professional blogger for Forbes and publishes a regular cybersecurity column in Leader’s Edge magazine. Ms. Westby is the author and editor of seven books, all published by the ABA and speaks globally on cutting-edge issues.
