ABOUT
John is a corporate attorney at Martin LLP, which is based in Stamford CT. He specializes in representation and warranty insurance (RWI) claims work, having spent a fair portion of the past 20+ years practicing in the RWI law field. Over the past 10+ years, John’s practice has focused on major RWI claims evaluation and negotiation for one of the largest RWI carriers, which recently got out of the RWI underwriting business, freeing John up to write about RWI claims topics.
Prior to Martin LLP, John was the chair of the private equity practice group at an international law firm, where he represented a number of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies and also practiced M&A, securities, and corporate law. John also served for a number of years as pro bono outside legal counsel to and a member of the board of directors of a charitable organization serving the family health needs of the East Harlem NYC community.
