Kevin Henderson is the Founding Partner at SMB Law Group, a boutique, remote-first law firm focusing on small and medium-sized business mergers and acquisitions for clients in all 50 U.S. states. Founded by three veteran lawyers with decades of combined experience in M&A and capital markets, SMB Law Group has the industry expertise of a major law firm, combined with dedicated and personalized client support.
Having worked for elite law firms such as Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and Cooley LLP, Kevin has been involved in high-stakes transactions for clients such as AT&T, Halliburton, JPMorgan, Toyota Racing, and TPG.
From 2019 to 2022, Kevin was in-house senior corporate counsel for securities and M&A for Flowserve Corp, a NYSE-listed Fortune 1000 manufacturer, while also running K. Henderson Law PLLC, a part-time solo corporate practice focused on SMB and lower middle market clients. In 2023, Kevin was rated as the #1 lawyer in the State of Texas for principal-led M&A transactions, beating out elite international firms like Kirkland & Ellis and Gibson Dunn. Additionally, Kevin has been selected as a “Rising Star” by Texas Super Lawyers for M&A and Securities.
He is a 2010 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
