Kūliaikanu’u “Kulia” Warner, Of Counsel at SRD Legal Group, is far from the traditional corporate attorney. A former U.S. Navy spouse, she started a second career at 40 after graduating from law school. Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, then living across the US and in Australia, Kulia leverages those experiences to serve as a strategic partner and advisor to clients across diverse cultures and backgrounds on their business contracts.
Serving prominent corporations and financial institutions with a global reach, Kulia specializes in developing solutions for contract management, including finding pressure points, designing single deal and master agreements to merge market standards with client needs, and streamlining the review and negotiation of engagement letters, corporate contracts, and confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). With keen attention to anticipating risk on commercial issues such as circumvention, employment, and protection of highly sensitive information, she develops solutions to achieve business outcomes and reduce costs. Kulia relies on pattern recognition to identify legal and commercial needs before crafting processes to produce efficient contracts favorable to as many parties as possible. Her ultimate goal is to avoid stagnation or frustration in contract negotiations by keeping deals moving.
