Kurtis Wozniak is a 3L at Stetson University College of Law, pursuing a concentration in Business Law, with an interest in personal injury law and corporate law. Kurtis came in third place in the ABA Business Law Section’s Mendes Hershman Writing Contest with his paper, The Direct Democracy Tax Credit: Giving Power Back to California Taxpayers, which explores how giving citizens a direct way in how their tax dollars are allocated could increase civic engagement and improve government accountability.
