M. Jorge Yanez V. (“Jorge”) has a diversified legal practice spanning mergers and acquisitions; general corporate and commercial matters; foreign trade and investment; environmental and natural resources law; and the gaming, entertainment, and hospitality industries.
In his corporate practice, Jorge has advised transnational companies across a wide range of industries on the acquisition (stock and assets) of Mexican companies, the structuring and negotiation of joint ventures, and the management and coordination of complex corporate and commercial matters.
Jorge began his legal career in 1988 at Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa, S.C. (now Hogan Lovells), where he was promoted to partner in 2000. Since 2009, he has divided his professional practice between Monterrey and Mexico City. After 35 years with Barrera, Siqueiros and Torres Landa/Hogan Lovells, in 2023 Jorge entered a new phase of his career as a partner at Ramos, Ripoll & Schuster, joining the firm’s corporate and foreign trade/investment practice groups.
