ABOUT
MAGGIE DEUTSCH has experience representing alternative lenders, asset managers, banks, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and borrowers in a broad array of sophisticated financing transactions. Some of these transactions include asset-based lending, acquisition financing/leveraged buyouts, cross-border loans, and other secured and unsecured credit facilities.
Maggie has been recognized by Chambers USA for Banking & Finance in Illinois as an “Associate to Watch” (2023). She graduated magna cum laude from University of Illinois Chicago School of Law where she served as executive lead articles editor on the school’s law review and as a judicial extern for The Honorable Ann Claire Williams on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Prior to law school, Maggie was a NCAA Division I athlete at The College of William and Mary and a Scholastic All-American.
Prior to joining Sidley, Maggie was an associate at another global law firm. Before her work as an attorney, she advised under-represented entrepreneurs in Chicago as a Public Interest Law Initiative Fellow.
