ABOUT
Marieke Faber is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution group and is based in the Amsterdam office. She advises and litigates on behalf of national and international clients on a wide range of corporate law issues. In 2018 and 2019, Marieke was seconded to the litigation department of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York. Since her return to NautaDutilh early 2020, Marieke was involved in several pandemic-related commercial disputes. See NautaDutilh’s Litigation practice page.
Marieke is actively involved in NautaDutilh’s pro bono activities. She was the driving force behind setting up a firm-wide platform aimed at assisting small businesses and self-employed individuals with pandemic-related issues (free of charge). This initiative was recently awarded the “Resilience Award” in the Gouden Zandlopers, the Netherlands’ most prestigious legal awards competition.
Marieke graduated cum laude from the University of Utrecht. She also obtained a Masters in Management degree from London Business School. Before joining NautaDutilh in 2016, Marieke was part of the Dispute Resolution team at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Amsterdam. From 2015 to 2017 Marieke was a board member of the Amsterdam Young Bar Association.
