Michael G. Lee is an associate at K&L Gates’ Washington, D.C. office, where he is a member of the Asset Management and Investment Funds practice group. Mr. Lee focuses his practice on advising clients on derivatives law. Mr. Lee counsels a diverse range of clients, including commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisors, commodity and corporate end-users, introducing brokers, trading platforms, swap dealers, and cryptocurrency and fintech companies, on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters involving the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the National Futures Association, U.S. exchanges, swap execution facilities, and other registered entities. His experience also includes guiding clients through the CFTC registration process to become a registered entity.
Mr. Lee is a registered lobbyist and a member of the firm’s Financial Services Policy team. He focuses his lobbying practice on ESG policy, Chinese investment regulations, and accounting standards.
