Michel Gélinas is a partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP in Canada and focuses on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and corporate finance. Michel regularly represents U.S., European, Asian and other international clients investing in Canada through M&A, joint ventures, and greenfield operations, as well as Canadian clients investing abroad. Earlier in his career, Michel practiced corporate and securities law in New York. Michel has been consistently recognized in leading national and international legal directories and is a frequent speaker and writer on M&A, securities, and foreign investment topics. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a former member of the Publications Board of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section.
