Ron Edwards is Associate Chief Counsel at John Deere Financial in Des Moines, Iowa. He is responsible for providing legal guidance to the company’s U.S. dealer lending operations, cross-border lending operations in Asia and Latin America, U.S. financial services marketing, and U.S. financial technology innovation.
Edwards joined Deere & Company as an intern in 2006. He began his full time career in 2007 as an Attorney and was subsequently named Senior Attorney in the Securities & Finance Practice Group.
In 2012, Edwards became Project Manager, Operations – Russia/CIS for Deere’s Construction & Forestry Division. Prior to his current role, Edwards was responsible for negotiating IT and telecommunications agreements globally.
Edwards recently served on the Board of Directors for the Two Rivers YMCA, as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Bethany for Children and Families, and as Chairman of the John Deere Political Action Committee. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Des Moines Symphony and Tech Journey.
Edwards has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from Ohio State University – Moritz College of Law.
