Sam Nicholls is Vice President of Willamette Management Associates. Sam’s areas of focus include the valuation of businesses, business interests, debt instruments, and calculation of damages for disputes, tax purposes such as estate planning, or transactions. Willamette Management Associates, founded in 1969, is recognized as a thought leader in the fields of business valuation, forensic analysis, and transaction financial advisory services.
A native of New York City, Sam has significant experience in many areas of business valuation, having worked in the financial sector since 1989. He previously served for 12 years as an investment research analyst with both investment banks and investment managers, for 3 years as a venture capital associate, and he has been a professor of investment banking since 2012. He earned a B.A. from Hamilton College and an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management.
