Zack Tripp is Co-Head of Weil’s Appellate practice. He has extensive experience prosecuting and defending appeals before the U.S. Supreme Court, including arguing 11 cases before the Court, briefing many others, and filing more than 100 briefs at the certiorari stage. Mr. Tripp also regularly appears on behalf of clients before federal circuit courts and state intermediate and supreme courts around the country.
Mr. Tripp also plays a major role in the development and briefing of legal arguments at the trial court level. His practice covers a range of subjects, including intellectual property, bankruptcy, antitrust, securities, and foreign state immunity, among many others.
Prior to joining Weil, Mr. Tripp served for five years as an Assistant to the Solicitor General in the Office of the Solicitor General at the U.S. Department of Justice. Earlier, Mr. Tripp served as a law clerk for Judge Amalya Lyle Kearse of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and for the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court.
