    ABOUT

Alyssa Szymczyk represents banks, mortgage lenders and servicers, debt collectors, and other financial institutions in litigation in state and federal courts in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. She has more than six years of experience litigating residential and commercial real estate and financial services matters in the tristate area.

With experience spanning depositions and settlement negotiations, trials, appeals, and administrative tribunals, Alyssa handles research, writing, and arguments from matter intake through final judicial action. She defends clients’ interests in matters related to the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), and related statutes. She has also handled landlord/tenant disputes, title issues, probate issues, creditor and debtor rights, and foreclosures.

Methodical, composed, and strategic, Alyssa takes a thoughtful, systematic approach to advocacy. Her passion for in-depth research and problem solving equips her to help clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes to achieve their goals.

Handling appeals has broadened Alyssa’s legal perspective and honed her ability to craft persuasive arguments, no matter where a matter progresses. She is proudest of securing positive results in complex cases involving condominium liens and foreclosures, and litigating their impact on lenders’ first deed of trust priority.
