Catie Bitzan Amundsen provides advice to a range of nonprofits, tax-exempt organizations, and health care organizations. She counsels nonprofit organizations on issues related to corporate governance, formation, tax exemption, private foundation issues, social enterprise, regulatory matters, mergers, and joint ventures.
Catie also represents hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and other health care organizations in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other collaborations, and advises health care organizations on antitrust matters, licensing issues, online-based health care models and telemedicine, HIPAA, Stark/Anti-Kickback, governance and tax exemption, and other federal and state regulatory matters.
Prior to practicing law, Catie worked as a tax consultant at Deloitte and taught high school courses in literature, business, and music in Belize.
