    Jeff Nagle is a partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, LLP and represents clients in a wide variety of financing transactions.  His principal practice focuses on leveraged finance and other syndicated bank loan transactions, NAV facilities, GP and ManCo facilities, the financing of financial assets, distressed debt trading, asset-based lending, commodities financings, energy project financings and rescue financing, workouts, debtor-in-possession financings and exit financings.  Jeff’s clients include many of the world’s leading domestic and foreign commercial banks, investment banks and other financial institutions, including hedge funds and other non-bank lenders.  Jeff is part of the Cadwalader team selected by the Federal Reserve’s Alternative Reference Rates Committee (ARRC) to assist in guiding the post-LIBOR financial world in developing best practices for fallback language across all cash products. He has been described by Chambers USA as “a major expert on LIBOR reform and emerging benchmark regulation” and is a frequent speaker on subjects relating to the LIBOR transition, including on the SOFR credit agreement form and the loan product in the SOFR world at the 2022 American Bar Association Business Law Spring Meeting.  He is also focused on innovation and emerging technologies impacting financing transactions, including blockchain technology.  Jeff has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in bank lending by IFLR 1000 and as a top-ranked banking and finance lawyer by Chambers USA. In 2021, Jeff was inducted as a fellow by the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL) in recognition of his market reputation and service to clients and, in particular, his work on the LIBOR transition.  He received his J.D. from the New York University School of Law, and he is a summa cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, where he also received an M.A. in Russian Language, Literature and Culture. Jeff is fluent in Russian and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
