Paul Chryssikos is Senior Vice President, Chief Counsel, Investments, Distribution and Risk at Lincoln Financial. Paul serves as chief legal officer of Lincoln’s proprietary mutual funds and institutional investment adviser and leads the legal team that supports Lincoln’s general account investments organization. He also leads the legal and compliance team supporting Lincoln’s distribution business for individual life insurance and annuities and small market retirement plans and serves as senior legal advisor to Lincoln’s Risk organization.
Previously at Lincoln, Paul led the legal and compliance organization for Lincoln’s retail wealth management business before its sale by Lincoln to Osaic Wealth in May 2024. Paul also served as chief counsel for Lincoln’s Annuities business and held roles focused on regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Lincoln, Paul was senior counsel at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in the Division of Enforcement, and practiced at national law firms with a focus on securities regulation, litigation, government investigations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance matters.
Paul is a member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Advisory Council and is co-chair of the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) Legal and Compliance Leadership Committee. He is active in the American Bar Association (ABA), Corporate Governance Committee (Business Law Section), including as co-chair of the In-House Counsel Subcommittee. He also serves on the board of the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA), a nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia. Paul earned a bachelor’s degree from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and his J.D. from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
