Tina V. John is Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Global Head of Corporate Law at Unisys Corporation where she is responsible for managing all corporate matters including financing, treasury, mergers & acquisitions, securities and governance.
She was most recently at Rocket Companies, where she built out the company’s public company legal function following its initial public offering. At Rocket, she served in multiple roles including Deputy General Counsel and General Counsel & Secretary. Prior to Rocket, Tina served as Director, Assistant Corporate Secretary of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Tina began her legal career in private practice at the New York office of A&O Shearman (formerly Shearman & Sterling LLP) and then at the Cincinnati office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. Tina has spoken on panels related to governance matters, leadership perspectives and diversity, equity and inclusion in the legal industry.
She is currently a member of the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) of Michigan, a co-chair of the In-House Counsel Subcommittee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Corporate Governance Committee (Business Law Section) and a member of the Detroit Chapter of the Society for Corporate Governance Professionals. Tina currently serves on the board of directors of the Joyce Ivy Foundation.
In 2024 she received the Judge Simon H. Rifkind award for distinguished public service and was named 2025 Leader of the Year by the Joyce Ivy Foundation. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Barnard College, Columbia University, and a J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
