Mexico 2025: The Year of Driving Growth, Tech, and Quality Standards
By Luis Armendariz, De Hoyos Aviles
On January 13, 2025, the Mexican government officially launched Plan Mexico 2025, a comprehensive strategy designed to drive economic growth, reduce inequality, and strengthen national security. The plan builds on past successes and introduces innovative measures to address emerging challenges.
It allocates $10 billion USD for 5G infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing to position Mexico as a global tech hub and establishes a digital inclusion fund to bridge the digital divide in rural and underserved communities.
Following the broader initiatives under Plan Mexico 2025, during the month of January the Ministry of Economy announced the relaunch of the Single Window Platform (Ventanilla Única). Originally introduced in 2010, the platform has undergone a significant modernization to enhance user experience, streamline regulatory processes, and promote transparency for businesses and individuals.
