Commissioner Kristin N. Johnson, Commodity Futures Trading Commission 

Commissioner Johnson was sworn in as a CFTC Commissioner on March 30, 2022, after holding endowed professorships at Emory University and Tulane University Law Schools. Commissioner Johnson is a nationally recognized expert on financial markets risk management law and policy with specialization in the regulation of complex financial products including the origination, distribution, and secondary market trading, clearing, and settlement of securities and derivatives. She is an internationally recognized expert on financial markets regulation and corporate governance, compliance, and risk management. Her priorities as Commissioner include fostering responsible innovation and ensuring effective regulation that promotes inclusion and opportunity for all.

Anat Alon-Beck’s research focuses on corporate law and governance. She hopes to develop a novel, comprehensive framework within which a deeper understanding of market contracting, regulatory changes, and policy surrounding unicorn firms can be achieved. Her research on these issues is frequently cited by policymakers, judges, and leading scholars in the corporate law and finance fields. It was cited to US Congress, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
