Matt Bester is the Director of Competition Law at Accenture, where he leads Accenture’s competition law compliance program covering 800,000 employees across more than 100 countries. In particular, he advises on Accenture’s mergers & acquisitions, go-to-market strategy, government inquiries, audits and regulatory filings.
Prior to joining Accenture, Matt spent 10 years as a Trial Attorney at the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division. At the Antitrust Division, he investigated and litigated civil and criminal antitrust matters across a wide variety of industries, including finance, real estate and media.
He started his career at Kellogg, Hansen, Todd, Figel & Frederick, PLLC where he focused on antitrust litigation, including obtaining and defending one of the largest antitrust trial verdicts of ever affirmed on appeal, totaling over $1 billion in Conwood Co. LP v. U.S. Tobacco Co., as well as a recovery of a $1.1 billion monopoly overcharge in California Superior Court.
