Samantha Horn is a partner at Stikeman Elliott LLP in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Groups. She operates a market-leading transactional practice in the private equity space, covering a wide range of M&A and financing mandates, along with fund formation experience. She is highly experienced both in investments and buyout transactions, with particular expertise concerning matters in the life sciences and technology sectors. Samantha is a former member of the Management Committee in the Toronto office and formerly served as Co-Head of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Groups. Samantha has also been involved in the American Bar Association for many years, including as past Chair of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee, and is a frequent speaker on panels with the ABA. She is currently Vice-Chair of the Private Equity M&A Committee, a joint committee of the M&A and PEVC Committees, of the Business Law Section of the ABA.

Daniel Rosenberg is a corporate, M&A and securities lawyer based in London, UK, with experience in a wide range of corporate issues including M&A, joint ventures, strategic alliances and corporate finance transactions. He has a particular focus on inward investment, especially from the US and Canada, and is recognised as a leading cross-border and governance lawyer in the independently researched International Who’s Who of M&A & Corporate Governance Lawyers. He has been active in the ABA for more than 20 years and is a member of the Board of Directors of BritishAmerican Business.

Matthew B. Swartz is a Pillsbury Corporate partner. Matt advises middle-market and technology companies, and their investors, on M&As, venture capital and private equity transactions, and public securities offerings. Matt represents clients in capital and “exit” events, including mergers, acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital investments. Matt also represents clients in public offerings and securities transactions. He regularly advises companies in the software, government contracting, technology services, medical devices, biotechnology, consumer products, and health care sectors. Matt’s clients also include investment funds, family offices, debt issuers, and bulge bracket, mid-tier and regional underwriters and placement agents. Matt’s latest book, forthcoming from the ABA Business Law Section, will offer guidance to new attorneys interested in becoming M&A lawyers.
